Facial Cupping with Gua Sha Therapy

Cupping is an alternative chinese medicine therapy that uses suction cups to stimulate your skin and muscles. The suction promotes increased blood circulation, which may help relieve muscle tension, promote cell repair, improve the flow of your 'qi' (life force), and aid in other regeneration. The suction effect pulls blood into the area and saturates the surrounding tissue with fresh white blood cells, platelets, and other healing aids to promote new blood vessel formation.
Gua Sha ('Sha'= redness that encourages the skin to heal itself) can eliminate fluid build-up, reduce puffiness and relieve muscle tension. This is a quick session for those individuals who require extra time for extractions between their regular facials, and should not replace your facial treatments! Extraction sessions are effective but not so relaxing, as the sole purpose is to focus on the removal of comedones (blackheads), whiteheads, milia, or pustules either manually or with a lancet.
