Cupping Therapy is an ancient form of alternative medicine & deep tissue massage, as it separates the layers of superficial fascia.  It includes multiple techniques with the use of modern suction cups.  Cupping can affect deeper tissue, remove fascial restrictions and increase range of motion. The prolonged suction is what provides the therapeutic effect, as it draws blood to the skin level, allowing new fresh blood to rush in below the skin, removing stagnation.  This effect will likely cause ecchymosis (circular bruising), but the benefits of this treatment are far worth it.
